Women in Leadership in Dental Education: A Global Perspective

Women in Leadership in Dental Education: A Global Perspective

Recorded On: 09/24/2025

Globally, women leaders in dental academia play a critical role in shaping curriculum, mentoring the next generation of professionals, influencing access to dental health care and driving research that addresses multiple health needs. By recognizing and supporting women in these roles worldwide, academic institutions can influence dental education and policy, while inspiring other women to pursue and thrive in academic dental careers and to rise to leadership positions.

This webinar, sponsored by the ADEA Section on Women in Leadership, will feature a panel of women in leadership positions in academic dentistry who will share their career pathways, successes and challenges. Crossing geographical boundaries to influence academic dentistry is essential for fostering global collaboration and improving oral health education and care worldwide. Providing a platform for discussion across geographical boundaries will build a bridge to impact the future of academic dentistry by sharing knowledge, resources and best practices across countries, cultures and academic dental institutions
