Actively Engaging and Enhancing Students’ Knowledge of CAMBRA Through Technology

Actively Engaging and Enhancing Students’ Knowledge of CAMBRA Through Technology

Recorded On: 02/23/2023

Due to the massive amount of knowledge students are expected to retain, dental educators are challenged with finding ways to engage students and improve retention of material. As students approach completion of their dental programs, prior information learned will likely be forgotten, and consequently, these gaps in knowledge will lead to difficulty in acquiring new material. This presentation will share innovative tools used to support third-year dental students in learning Caries Management by Risk Assessment (CAMBRA) protocols for special needs patients. You will learn evidence-based strategies and tools to actively engage students and enhance information retention.

Learning Objectives:

  • Introduce evidence-based strategies and tools to promote active learning for students.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies and tools to enhance knowledge retention.
  • Evaluate outcomes of innovative technological tools used for active learning.
